Good Article! I grew up being taught by my parents that adults are always right and especially so in the religious community I was raised in. On top of this I had very protective (read sheltering and propagandistic) religious parents.

And boy was I naive as a kid.

Inevitably I grew up and left home and had to learn the hard way that trusting everyone was a really stupid thing and just because they are older doesn’t make them right.

I’m probably jaded by this experience and am skeptical about about everything and everyone these days. Could also be my intj personality.
